This Is Why I Said…

… that I could not be up for internet communities anymore ! See this post for a reference (written in german).

Well, it should not be too hard to spot me there…

It is just a little screenshot of a member list of a forum I had been active for a lot of time. Where are the nicknames, you might ask… ? Well, my editing skills are just too good I guess, hehe

But it just reassures me in my decision… after being offline for some time know, nobody asked where I might be – I did not even received a single personal message. This leads me to the conclusion, that I must have rather bothered this “community”, despite the fact that I am the number two on this list. In terms of quantity, naturally – but also in terms of quality. And I am certainly not being snotty here.

So, what is the use of a “community” if nobody cares about the other; or even worse: if one gets neglected though the mass of contributions he might have made ? By the way: I backed some of them up on my blog, too – so you would be able to access them. But I can no longer see a use in this. And even the people I got to meet in real life turned out to be rather quiescent. It is just aHUGE difference wether you became acquainted with someone in real life or the web (2.0).

This is why I am staying here, and only contributing to people who really deserve it. And one of these people certainly is Skykid, an internet partner and friend of mine from the first hour of this blog. Check his blog too, you will always find some comments of mine there in the next time. After registring my comment-profile there, I even noticed that I already left over 40 comments – more than on any other blog ! But as I said, this number will steady rise since he is putting the same amount of energy into his projects as my noble self. You might also check out the blog of Lucas, another person who is maintaining a successful and interesting blog.

So, a lot of greetings and regards to those who are really putting a lot of energy and soul in their projects, wether these are referring to the web or not. Because it almost is a fact that a certain effortlessness in the web can often be assigned with an analogical way of life in general. Well; Skykid, Lucas and 3 forum members – I am looking forward to a bright future ! To all other people – it has been nice getting to know you, at least rudimental – but this should have been it.
