… but recently I felt like posting in german only. I do not know how I will manage this in the future – maybe it would be the best if I would go for a 50-50 rate. A (great!) majority of the users is still coming from germany – I definitely expected something else – since about 85% of my posts are written in english. So I will try to maintain a certain balance… by writing some german posts also, just like my recent film reviews.
Almost 50 percent of the visitors are coming from Germany… and, a little surprise (at least to me): Switzerland has a share of 7.1 percent already !
As I said, right now I am feeling very comfortable with writing all of my posts in german, especially film reviews like the one about Transformers – it is a mentionable difference, no doubt – I would not be able to use such metaphors and allusions in english. This is also why I would lable this review as one of my most entertaining and funny ones – of course, only understandable by readers that are capable of the german language.
To all international readers: try to use machine translation on these posts, if you are curios about the content anyhow. But naturally, you can expect further english posts in the future. But if it goes on like this… it would be no real use if I would write in english mainly. Since I should adjust myself to the biggest group of visitors – the “minorities” should rather use machine translations on this one.
According to the recent statistics, right now almost 60 percent of my visitors are german-speaking… only 30 percent english… and about 10 should be no “real visitors” (Bots, Spam etc.) – this is just an estimation ! But let us see how the whole thing develops in the next time.
Another thing: I almost breached the 10k klick-border… this is just great ! 
I would prefer reading content in English and my opinion that its too early to draw conclusions about your visitors from the statistic. Then again its your blog and you know best
Thanks for your opinion ! Yes, it is too early to decide… I think for now it is the best thing if I keep mixing english (film reviews and stuff) and german (media that is available in Germany only) posts, according to my mood.
Yes I am sure that there is a specific content in Germany which is known by the German community and more or less remains unknown to the world – tv series , some singers …etc. It then makes sense if the post about such things are indeed in German – at the same time many will appreciate being able to read your reviews without having to use an online translator…etc.
